What if
the corazon was a painting or as it were an ancient relic/art piece that belongs to the country of san lorenzo. But the corazon was stolen by la sombra who is an art collector with a fishy reputation. Helga works for the feds and discovers a string of strange activity leading her to the infamous con artist: Arnold Shortman.
…coughs.
I just had this crazy idea….
gerlad and phoebe are together, they’re in college, and phobe’s a hustler. She goes to billiard clubs and plays for crazy money, then she goes to other places to play high stake poker (Without geralds known knowledge ). One night arnold and gerald go out with some friends for a boys night out and they go to a bar/something like a club house. Its somewhat crowded but they go anyway. There’s a bunch of people crowding the pool tables and they see a girl with jet black hair wearing a cute attire. One of the boys from the group comments “that girl is hot.” and Gerald lifts up an eyebrow and senses some kind of familiarity from this woman. He replies”yeah she is.” the group of friends order their finger foods and they start buying up some drinks. arnold couldn’t help but notice gerald’s attention was distracted towards the crowd of people.
arnold looks at gerald and said “you wanna go check it out?” and gerald looks over to his friend and shrugs. He earns a suspiscious gaze “don’t tell me you wanna check her out.” arnold mumbled. Gerald rolled his eyes in response, “lets just see what the fuss is all about.”
the two friends make their way towards the sea of people. It was difficult for them to see since it was crowded and the only thing arnold and gerald could make out was a billiard table, man and a woman playing.
“man that phobe….she’s like a machine. I wouldn’t know why anyone would wanna play against her.” a man said with an obvious bitterness to his tone. Gerald and arnold looked at each other and decided to squeez themselves through enough to see the players. There they saw phoebe, defeating her opponent, who wore a sullen expression and put his money in with the rest of the winnings.
“so whose next?” she questioned, no one amongst the crowd walked up or wanted to.
“me, I’ll play you.” the voice claimed loudly through the silence. The people made way for the courageous man challenging the undefeated champion.
“Gerald?!” phoebe exclaimed.
WEIRD CONCEPT
That was in my head last night. warning, EXTREME AU.
Arnold is a drifter, (don’t know how in the world this came to be) and he’s walking along the country side on a dirt path. It’s raining and he winds up being taken care of by Hilda. He undergoes a small fever, but becomes well in the morning in which he is welcomed with a hearty plate of sunny side eggs, bacon, and a buttery bread roll. Though he desperately wants to scarf down the food, he calmly eats. Hilda tells Arnold she had to go out late at night to power the emergency generator because the power was out, so she found him near her house passed out.
Old doodles are old and crud. But I never wrote about it and im on my moms phone. Arnold and Helga are in college, married, both are looking for jobs. Arnold lands a job at a vegan market/organic products family market. Helga’s estatic until arnold comes home after three days of working with a promotion as manager.
Suspicioused, she does a little research (stalking her own husband) to find even more worrisome news. Arnold’s boss, sarah, looks a lot like her.
She takes the opportunity to intervene by distracting sarah (in her own devious ways) in which she makes it a test of faith for her husband.
Helga: I know the Holidays are the hardest time of the year for you. No one deserves to be alone on Christmas, especially you.
Arnold: …Helga, as long as you’re here I know I’ll never have to be…no matter where you are. Merry Christmas Helga…
Helga: …Merry Christmas Arnold.
concepts lingering in my heaadd,
The boarding house closes down (for some strange reason, I still need to figure out why. the hey arnold movie never happening. Slight AU) causing Arnold to relocate. The boarders end up having to find another place to live and Arnold and his grandparents live either in the country with Arnie and his family, or I was thinking of a place like Seattle (maybe there was space for rent that they probably invested in to continue the business.) But in a nutshell, Arnold leaves Hillwood.
Later in his early twenties still in college, he comes back to visit. His intention is to move back and continue college there. In terms of his relationships with other people, he keeps a tight knitted friendship with Gerald and contacted him through phone calls and emails. The neighborhood is slightly renovated but some things still stayed the same. The most intriguing news Arnold receives is about Helga. He finds out she invests her time in the orphanage. Gerald mentions that ever since Arnold left Helga first started to act sullen and became quiet, then she started to do charity work and now spends a lot of her time helping other people out.
Compelled, Arnold asks Gerald where she goes to. He leads him to a small orphanage down town and Arnold has a conversation with the leader/organization and offers his help right away. They ask him if he could paint murals in the rooms because it’s something they wanted to do. He, obviously, agrees to it.
The following morning Arnold works diligently on the mural, and as he does so a little orphan named Lillian watches him and tells him about herself. Arnold notices she’s wearing a pink bow that reminded him of Helga. She turned out to be insightful and talked about Helga and learned more about her through the little girl. He smiles, then looks up hearing the sound of someone entering. His gaze met Helga’s surprised face and she stood there, dumb founded. Suddenly, all the years she spent desperately trying to get over Arnold became insignificant because of one simple smile.
imperative background information:
Arnold and Helga finally get together but they’re keeping their relationship on the down low. They want to have some time for themselves during school, but they find that every place they go there’s always someone who can see. Gerald recommends Arnold meeting with the keeper of the keys. (who used to be a janitor at the school. Legend has it that he wields the key to the city, but no one knows. He’s also legendary for his inhumane obsession over Dolly’s doughnuts.)
Before meeting with him, Arnold and Gerald buy 4 dozen doughnuts and go through a shady alley way. Gerald mentions the guy’s mean stomach. They give their offerings and Arnold’s granted keys to the highschool roof where Arnold and Helga would surely have time to themselves. As they were about to leave Gerald tells him to show his mean stomach to Arnold.
Low and Behold they have their sights set on the most muscular and perfectly toned abdomen.
Arnold and Gerald wonder how he does it if all he ever eats is doughnuts.
